"Excellent care"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I brought my young adult daughter in for review due to worsening tonsillitis symptoms not responding to pain medication or antibiotics. She was distressed by her symptoms and prolonged pain, alongside some dismissive health service interactions in Melbourne. The nurses were lovely and the doctor was thorough, informative and kind, following up with us after we left.  My daughter felt heard. Positive interactions for young adults when seeking health support sets them up with skills and confidence to be proactive in their health across their lifespan. Thanks to all the staff who showed her such excellent care.

Dear delphinusdc59,

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I’m delighted to hear that you and your daughter had a positive experience with our Urgent Care Service, especially during such a difficult time when she was in pain and distress.

At BCH, we deeply value our young adults and believe it’s essential that they feel comfortable expressing their concerns and truly feel heard. Your comments reflect the care and commitment our team strives to provide every day. The Urgent Care team will be so proud to know the impact they had on your experience.

I hope your daughter is continuing to recover well, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can support you further.

Warm regards,

Kirsten
