Dear ‘Pain suffer’,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the wait time for Neurology outpatient appointments at Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH).

I am truly sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing from severe headaches. Unfortunately, demand for Neurology services is currently very high, which has resulted in extended wait times. I understand how distressing and frustrating this must be for you, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

As this is an anonymous platform, it is difficult for us to investigate the circumstances or provide you with a detailed response. I encourage you to contact our Patient and Family Liaison Service (PFLS) on (08) 6152 4013 during business hours, or email at FSHFeedback@health.wa.gov.au. The PFLS team will be happy to assist you and then we can investigate your case fully to ensure that your referral has been triaged appropriately with all necessary clinical information.

Alternatively, you may wish to speak with your General Practitioner, who can provide clinical escalation notes to support your referral if required.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. I hope we have the opportunity to speak with you directly.

Kind regards

Luke Dix

A/Executive Director
