"My recent overnight hospital stay"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Surgical Ward

(as the patient),

I was in Bunbury regional hospital recently for a very painful operation which went really well thankfully. What made this daunting experience so successful was how I was treated and cared for by the staff. Even though they were extremely busy with many patients to care for, the way they anticipated my needs especially for substantial pain management was really humbling. They made me feel like I mattered and any needs I had were solved promptly and with a genuine care and concern. My operation was following day surgery 10 days earlier and it was so impressive how the quality only grew the further in I experienced the hospital. Thank you to everyone I encountered at Bunbury regional, you all do a magnificent job and are to be commended for the caring, professional and supportive way you deliver such vital services. Thank you all again for making my stay go as well as it possibly could.

Dear scorecardfm49,

I hope you are continuing to feel stronger each day as you recover from your recent surgeries.

Thank you sincerely for sharing such thoughtful feedback. Both our Day Surgery and Surgical Ward teams are dedicated to delivering professional, compassionate, and high‑quality care, and it is heartening to know that this was reflected in your experience.

Your comments will be passed on to the teams, who will be encouraged to hear how their care made a difference during what we know can be a challenging time.

Please accept my very best wishes for a smooth recovery and a return to good health.

Warm regards,

Karen Horsley

Service Co-Director
