"Waiting for reimbursement"

About: Patient Assisted Travel Scheme - WACHS Midwest

(as the patient),

4 month wait to receive pats reimbursement and only after visiting our local pats office twice . I know of a couple of other people who are still waiting more than 4 months. I believe people who claim pats are usually those who can't afford to wait so long. I've been told lack of staff. This needs to be looked at.

Dear lepuszn77,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us via Care Opinion.

I would like to offer my sincere apologies for the delay in processing your PATS reimbursement.

You are correct that we have faced staff unexpected staffing challenges recently. I am pleased to confirm we have completed some recent recruitment and as the new staff commence we should see the processing times significantly reduced.

I would be grateful if you could reach out to me and this will enable me to check on the current status of your reimbursement. My name is Di Franklin, I am the Acting PATS Coordinator Midwest and I can be reached on 9956 1962.

I hope you are well and I look forward to hearing from you and I can investigate the status of your reimbursement.

Regards

Di Franklin
