"Excellent support and patient centred care"

A much overdue appreciation post to my primary treating clinician, Dr Elizabeth and the whole Immunology and E Block Day Ward Team at SCGH.

I have been a patient under their care for sometime now and I am very grateful for the care I have received over the many years. They always advocate for me when I can’t, I feel as safe as is possible, and most importantly heard. Their reliable use of My Health Record to communicate with my GP and myself has been invaluable in keeping us informed. I think they are a shining example of professionalism and patient centred care for the next generation of doctors that they train, and also for other specialties in the hospital to take note of.

It’s hard when you are so reliant on the Public Healthcare system at my age, but having this clinical team in my corner continues to keep me an ever hopeful and optimistic patient, that can keep on pushing through life despite the adversities I face.
