"Birth story"

Throughout the whole of my pregnancy my midwife was Kind, caring and supportive of my choices and my birth plan, I felt very comfortable and confident in the delivery of my baby, even though I went into labour earlier than expected at 36 weeks and 5days I felt that my voice was heard I supported when I wanted changes to my birth plan. My midwife Mimi was like family to us and made myself and my partner calm in the safe delivery of our baby boy.  She was informative and supportive and calm under pressure even when I wasn’t, she was my rock and helped my baby boy safely enter the world , the care we received after baby was born was outstanding me and my partner felt very well looked after especially being first time parents. I will without a doubt come back to the Family Birth Center at King Edward Memorial Hospital to have a my other babies and I will request to have Mimi deliver them. Everyone at the birth center we saw has been so amazing and we cannot thankyou enough for the support we received, we can’t wait to have our future babies at the birth center and have Mimi deliver them.
