"RPH Breast Assessment Clinic"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Breast Cancer Care & Support

(as the patient),

I was called into the clinic quickly about a concern with the left breast after a recent mammogram.

From arrival at 9.30am to departure at 12.35pm, the care and empathy shown by the staff was wonderful.

Although I was warned things could take a long time, I was processed quickly after an initial talk with two nurses who checked my history, later putting on a gown.

After an initial followup mammogram, I then proceeded to an extensive ultrasound carried out by two radiologists, the senior radiologist then explaining things clearly.

In between this, a lovely volunteer lady asked if I wanted tea or coffee.

I emerged with a clean bill of health, peace of mind and admiration for the clinic staff who do so much to smooth the way on what was originally a rather anxious day.

Everything at the clinic was light and bright and seeing pink is one of my favourite colours, its prevalence did much to lift the spirits!

Thanks again, full of admiration for the work staff do every week day throughout the year.
