About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I had a beautiful experience throughout my entire pregnancy being cared for from the FBC team - especially my primary midwife Olivia B.

This was my first baby and my waters broke on my due date. I ended up requiring an induction and due to that I needed to birth in King Edward’s hospital, however still had my dream team from the FBC take care of me and help me push through a very long intense labour that ended in a water birth. I was extremely grateful for the care I received from the girls at FBC especially Olivia and Saskia.

I felt well looked after, well educated on my choices and although an induction wasn’t my plan, I was still listened to and my needs were met.

Congratulations on the birth of your first baby! I’m so happy to hear you had such a positive experience and were well supported by our midwives at the Family Birth Centre (FBC).

I am so pleased that although labour didn’t go quite as planned, you felt listened to and all your needs were met with the support of the wonderful FBC midwives. We are very proud of the care provided by our staff and the way they partner with our patients to achieve positive outcomes during the pregnancy and birthing journey.

I will be very happy to pass on your beautiful feedback to Olivia, Saskia and the FBC team.
