"Midwifery Group Practice Karratha"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Maternity Unit

(as a service user),

I was part of the MGP program running in Karratha for my Bub born in November 2025, I was under the care of Lea primarily and it was such a positive experience. I had my first child in 2023 when I don’t think this program was available and the difference in care and how positive I felt after the experience postpartum were like night and day. Could not rate it highly enough!!! Bubs was born at home before I could get to the hospital as I had a precipitous labour but the continuity of care was amazing. Love love love it.

Dear januaryxc54

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback. We are truly delighted to hear that your experience with the MGP program at Karratha Health Campus was so positive and that the continuity of care made you to feel confident and well supported, both during your pregnancy and after your baby’s arrival.

It’s wonderful to know that your primary midwife, Lea and the wider team were able to provide the level of personalised care that made such a meaningful difference for you. We’re also very grateful you and your baby were safe after your precipitous birth at home and pleased that the team could continue to walk alongside you through that unexpected moment.

Your kind words mean a great deal to the service and to the staff who are deeply committed to providing compassionate, woman-centred care. Feedback like yours reinforces the value of the MGP model and inspires us to continue strengthening this service for families in our community.

Thank you again for sharing your story and warmest congratulations on the arrival of your little one. Wishing you and your family all the very best.

Kindest Regards

Angie Hankinson

Acting Operations Manager- West Pilbara
