"Saving my Dad's life"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Coronary Care Unit (CCU) Ward 4F Royal Perth Hospital / Emergency Department St John Ambulance WA

(as a relative),

During the early hours of new years morning my Dad had a large heart attack. He was rushed into RPH as requested by my Mum as it has been my workplace for 7 years and I happened to be working that particular nightshift. My family and I are forever grateful especially to the ambulance officers, the nurses and doctors on CCU/4F and the SAFE team. They saved my dad's life. I've always been proud of working at RPH and being on the other side has hugely enforced that. Thankyou to those particular people who helped my Dad, your hard work is amazing.

Dear Relative94,

Thank you for sharing such a touching message about your dad’s recent experience at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH). We are truly moved by your words and grateful that he received the care he needed during such a critical time.

Your feedback will be shared with the teams involved, the Emergency Department, the Coronary Care Unit (Ward 4F), and the SAFE team. They will be so pleased to know that their dedication and expertise made such a meaningful difference for you and your family.

One of the highest levels of praise we can receive is when our own staff choose to have care for them or their loved ones at RPH, and I have no doubt that your own contributions to RPH also reflect the level of commitment and care that the team showed to your family in your time of need.

We deeply appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge the efforts of our teams, and to recognise the incredible work they do every day.

We sincerely hope your dad is recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Ben Noteboom
