"Incredible care on Ward 5G"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Orthopaedic Surgical & Trauma & Spinal Care Ward 3H/5G

(as the patient),

Recently I was admitted on Ward 5G at RPH after an elective surgery. From admission to discharge, the level of care was outstanding from all staff.

The nursing staff were consistently kind and attentive and they made me feel safe, calm, and well supported during what was a difficult time. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I was always treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine empathy.

I would especially like to recognise the nurses Sarah, Bella, Izzy, Eunice, and Sabeetha (apologies if I have misspelled or misremembered any names). Each of them demonstrated exceptional care, patience, and warmth, and their dedication did not go unnoticed. They took the time to listen, explain, reassure, and support me, which made a significant difference to my experience and recovery.

I would also like to sincerely thank the Physiotherapy and OT team. Their encouragement, expertise, and practical support were invaluable, and they played an important role in helping me regain confidence and progress with my recovery. I am very grateful for their time, care, and professionalism. I think the team on ward 5G have a very difficult job but they remain kind and deliver exceptional care and that makes such a difference. I hope they realise how appreciated they are.
