(as the patient),

I feel it is ridiculous that I have to wait for 6 hours to see an emergency doctor at the Sydney Eye Hospital. I think that when people have serious problems with their health, they should not suffer long waits in order to receive a help.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand how distressing it can be to wait for an extended period when you are experiencing an urgent health issue, and we sincerely regret the frustration this caused you.

In the Emergency Department, patients are assessed and prioritised based on clinical urgency to ensure those with the most critical conditions are treated as quickly as possible. However, we recognise that long waiting times are difficult, and your experience highlights how challenging this can be for patients needing emergency care.

I went to a different hospital ED after that as I was misdiagnosed by one of your doctors on that day and wait was only 1,5 hours. I think your hospital needs a big improvement.
