We attended the Positive Birth Program antenatal classes in Broome, WA, and overall the experience was mixed.
Lindsay herself was excellent. She is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely supportive. We felt that the most valuable parts of the course were when she stepped away from the slides and shared her own experience, insights, and practical advice. When Lindsay was speaking freely, I felt the classes were engaging, informative, and reassuring.
Unfortunately, I felt that the course content and slides didn’t match the quality of Lindsay as a facilitator. Some slides were useful, I felt that but many were not, and the videos/PowerPoint presentations felt quite boring and insipid. At times, it felt like the delivery was restricted by the material rather than enhanced by it.
We would have strongly preferred a structure where about half of the course was Lindsay openly sharing her knowledge and answering questions, and the other half supported by slides. In my opinion, the sessions were noticeably better when she deviated from the presentation.
Overall, the course was okay, but we wouldn’t personally recommend the program in its current format. That said, we would absolutely recommend sessions with Lindsay herself — her knowledge, care, and approach were the real strength of the experience.
