"Hand was fractured after all"

About: Maroubra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

(as a relative),

My spouse had a fall and we went to the urgent care clinic in Maroubra Junction. They took x rays of my spouse's hand and dismissed them as not having anything wrong. Didn’t dress their other wounds, immobilise the arm, offer any painkillers or anything.

2 weeks later and with a massive bruise still on their palm, the GP sent my spouse to the emergency room at the hospital, where they promptly confirmed a fracture in the metatarsal and finally put my spouse's arm in a cast and prescribed codeine.

My spouse felt like they were dismissed out of hand and was gaslit into thinking they were making up the injury. My spouse had to endure pain for two weeks and the injury was made worse and may now require surgery.
