"Armadale Emergency Department"

About: Armadale Hospital / Colyer Surgical & Medical Ward Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted with acute appendicitis. Although he initially felt silly about coming to ED, he was thoroughly examined, investigated, imaging done and treated with respect. Nurse erin in ed was lovely, kind, compassionate and efficient - an amazing representative of the service. He was very anxious about the whole situation and the nurses in short stay, the surgeon dr willy and reg nathan, the anaesthetist, theatre staff and then the staff on the 23hr ward particularly Genesis were a credit to the service!

Really very impressed and grateful.

Dear lacertarg87

Thank you for sharing your kind words about your husband’s recent experience. Coming to hospital can feel daunting, and no one should ever feel hesitant or “silly” for seeking help when something doesn’t feel right. Feeling respected, well cared for and supported from the very beginning is so important, and it’s wonderful to hear that Erin helped provide that reassurance at such an important moment.

We are incredibly fortunate at Armadale to have staff who bring such dedication, compassion, and attentiveness to every patient they care for. Hearing that you were very impressed with the care your husband received means a great deal to us, as it reflects the standard we strive for every day. It is also greatly appreciated when families take the time to acknowledge the efforts of our teams, and I know your message will be warmly received by the individuals you mentioned.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. I’m pleased to hear your husband felt so well supported, and I wish him a smooth and steady recovery.

Warm Regards
