"Pregnancy & Birth"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Maternity Unit

(as the patient),

After falling pregnant in a new town I was recommend to join the MGP program at Karratha Health Campus & it was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made! The process to join was so easy & shortly after being accepted into the program our care was taken over by our incredible midwife Sheree. From the first appointment my husband and I knew that we were in the very best of hands and we felt so relaxed about what was to come.

The whole way through the pregnancy we felt incredibly supported. One of the best parts about the MGP is the flexibility to have some appointments in our own home, which, with two kids already was such a blessing. It was so beautiful for our older kids to be involved in the care of their new sibling even before they were here. Not only was the antenatal care unbelievable, the care we received during labour & birth was second to none. We were supported in labouring in the comfort of our home until we were ready to come to hospital & then we had the best experience with a water birth at the hospital. My midwife & a student midwife enabled us to have the dream birth experience in which I felt very empowered. Having given birth twice before I wish I’d had this last experience with all three & I wish we had Sheree too!

Based on my experience I could not recommend the MGP enough, the love, care & support is second to none. I hope that the MGP remains in place for women & families long into the future!

Dear 3Sons,

Thank you for your wonderful feedback regarding your experience with the Midwifery Group Practice at Karratha Health Campus.

We are delighted to hear how supported, informed, and reassured you and your family felt throughout your pregnancy, labour, and birth. Continuity of care is a cornerstone of the MGP model, and it is incredibly rewarding to know this had such a positive impact on your journey.

Your recognition of Sheree and the student midwife is sincerely appreciated. We will proudly share your comments with them and the wider maternity team.

It is particularly meaningful to hear how the flexibility of home visits and family-centred care enhanced your experience, and that you felt empowered during your birth.

Thank you again for your thoughtful words and for recommending the MGP to other women and families. Feedback like yours reinforces the value of this model of care.

Warm Regards,

Nhuan Ho
