About: Cohuna District Hospital / Urgent Care Department

(as the patient),

Turned up at the Cohuna Hospital Sunday evening with very painful right side in back and other problems, staff took me in straight away from the first nurse to the nurse practitioner to the doctor and 2 other nurses after that made sure I got pain relief and antibiotics that I needed asap, Doctor gave me reference for a CT Scan next which was done in Echuca, it was super professional with the friendliest staff I have ever met the nurses and doctor were great. Conditions very clean in the hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. Our team goes above and beyond to attend to patients in UCC particularly when you describe such levels of pain. It is great to hear that our team were able to manage your pain so well. It is also worth noting that our UCC team work to the top of their scope of practice and that the nurses assessed you and escalated your care first to our Nurse Practitioner and then to doctor.

We pride ourselves in this approach and it also ensure that our front-line team are continuing learning and have oversight by more experienced clinicians. I will also pass on your compliments to our hard-working cleaning team. Trust you are recovering well.
