"Inpatient care in regional hospital"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Just wanted to express my thanks to the staff at Kalgoorlie Hospital who cared for me in the week before Christmas last year.  I experienced quite a scary medical event and being FIFO didn't have my usual supports around me (other than my staff).  The medical team in particular were very clear with information that was relayed to me.  The pathway from ED to the ward was seamless (thank you to the ED ward clerk who got me some yummy sandwiches).  All PCA staff were amazing introducing themselves when they were taking me to scans etc.

Despite being in such a remote area, the care provided for me was exceptional.

Dear Supportedpt66,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this feedback. I’m really glad to hear that our team was able to support you during such a frightening experience, especially while you were away from your usual supports. Your kind words mean a great deal to the staff across ED, the ward, and all those involved in your care.

We have already passed your thanks on to everyone who looked after you. Wishing you continued good health.

Hamish Burton
