"Thankful for the telehealth lactation service"

About: Telehealth Service - WACHS Goldfields

(as the patient),

I was recently seen by the Telehealth lactation service. Sam was the lovely lactation consultant who seen me on two occasions and wow was I impressed! I was initially skeptical on how someone would be able to help me with breastfeeding via video but I was wrong! With the help from my partner to manoeuvre the phone so Sam could see exactly how I was breastfeeding, she was able to provide me with some techniques changes, support and a lot of reassurance that my baby and I could do this! After the first session, I received an email from Sam with what we had discussed (I was extremely thankful for this, newborn = tired Mummy who forgets things). I worked hard with my baby to ensure we were consistent with how we were feeding and had Sam’s tips close by each time in case I had a brain blank on what it was she suggested I try. Within a few days things were looking up and I had confidence that we could in fact get this breastfeeding thing working for both Bub and I. I cannot thank Sam enough for her guidance and support, the genuine care she has for her patients and the passion to help really shines through. You are one in a million Sam! Thank you.

Thank you jazznt57 for sharing such heartfelt feedback.

It’s wonderful to hear how supported and reassured you felt through the Telehealth lactation service. Sam will be delighted to know her guidance, care, and follow‑up made such a meaningful difference for you and your baby. We’re so pleased the service helped build your confidence and made breastfeeding a more positive experience. We’ll be sure to pass on your message to Sam.
