Recently my husband was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer and our first major dealings with the health system began through the Cancer Council.
We just wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the exceptional care and support both through Milroy Lodge -in Perth and now Protea Lodge and the Geraldton Cancer Council facilities.
From the Clerical staff, at the front desk, your kindness was appreciated, through to Hayley and Sarah taking our phone calls and emails, your compassion shone through, you made this journey easier for us, and never forgetting the PCA lady who offered us tea and coffee - thank you.
On our first treatment Linda and Shobin were amazing, your understanding and professionalism you showed was invaluable and we truly appreciated all that you did for us and other individuals and families facing this long journey ahead.
Behind the scenes, a big shout out to PATS - Linda in Exmouth Hospital, organising accommodation, transport etc, Kristy Act/DON EDH for organising logistics of getting through the hoops, kind emails and understanding, Brenda C. who just so happened to chat to me one day and we ended up down this path - I will be forever gratful I had that chat, and on going phone calls and emails, giving me the direction I so needed, and then yesterday a call from David CNM Cancer Services just touching base about how it was all going and updating us on what is going on behind to the scenes to make this all work, thankyou.
You are all fantastic, in every area that makes journey run more smoothly and we would just like to give a BIG Shout Out to you all and thank you once again for your hard work and dedication to those affected by cancer.
