I’m currently taking my elderly grandparent to the wounds clinic for care. The staff are lovely each time we attend.
The only thing that would make the service better would be text message reminders! Other outpatient departments have appointment reminders, it just feels a little behind the times that the wounds clinic doesn’t do text message appointment reminders as well. I also noticed that the nursing staff hand write all appointments out. The nurses are already so busy, surely the receptionist can assist with rebooking and organising text message reminders to lighten their load (particularly on weekends when apparently there is no reception support and the nurses run around to do that job too!). The outdoor weekend intercom system volume is really low too, could it be a little louder, particularly for my grandparent who is deaf in one ear.
