"Fremantle Hospital Care"

My parent had a terrible experience with other health services leading up to this admission. They had been suffereing servere and spasming back pain for approximately 2 months following a cortisole injection to try an relieve moderate lower back pain. After the previous failures at other health services, my sibling and I decided to take them to Fiona Stanley hospital, who found them a bed at Fremantle Hospital.

Despite our concerns from the recent bad experiences, Fremantle Hospital was amazing. My parent finally started to recieve actual care in the fact specialists were organised to actually review her file in depth and come up with a plan. Over the course of 2 weeks my parents pain was reduced from a constant 8 with frequent (>than 10 an hour) spasms of 10, to a very manageable 1 with very few spasms. On top of that my parent is more lucid on the medication that was perscribed to her, than when she was in servere pain.

The staff were fantastic and were always available for questions, clarification and even to assist my parent with simple tasks. We can't provide enough praise for the doctors and nursing staff but would love to call out the following. 

Fiona, for their bedside manner and her drive to assist. The fact the their writing was legible was a huge plus too. 

Janet for her superb intial consult and putting all the pieces in place.

Jenna for their attention to detail and contast follow up with us remotely to assist and book further appointments.

The hospital phamacist who was just amazing in her execution of knowledge and bedside manner.

The Fiona Stanley emergency department for finding my parent a bed and getting her moved via ambulance to Fremantle so quickly and efficiently.

And to all the staff who helped my parent while in your care, from the specialists to the orderlies bring her food. (Which was also great!)

My parent is now back at home and managing well, with a care plan in place.
