"Post surgery physiotherapy"

About: Korumburra Hospital

(as the patient),

OT at the surgical hospital organised physio after total  a knee replacement.

I felt the therapist was dismissive with exercises given by hospital physio staff. I made a follow up phone appointment for the following week which they cancelled due to being unwell and i never heard from them again. So much for after care, i now go to the local physiotherapist and have had great results following his program.

I believe Korumburra should be doing better and i felt let down by their system.

Dear jackpottd88,

I'm very sorry and disappointed to hear about your experience. I understand why you would feel let down and agree that our system should be doing much better. This experience is definitely not what our system is designed to deliver, and we will work on ensuring that everyone receives the expected care. We can share your experience with our team to discuss the failures that you have highlighted.

Would you like to have a private conversation about your experience?

Sara Mullery is the Manager of Allied Health Services, and she would be happy to investigate your experience more specifically. Sara's contact number is 5654 2701

Thank you for your feedback, it is very important that we are made aware of systems not delivering the care and experience expected, in order to improve.

Kind Regards

Jenny Dempster

Director of Clinical Services

Bayside Regional Care Group (GSHS)
