"Not getting access to the medical help needed"

About: Mental Health Services SMHS / Cockburn Health

(as the patient),

I’ve asked multiple times for help with these muscle pains I’m experiencing quite badly. They gave me Panadol and I waited for that to work and, at the time of writing this a few days ago, it’s done nothing.

I informed the nursing staff and it’s been hours now and I recall the nurse refused to contact the doctor to get something stronger after asking multiple times. They have left me crying in pain and unable to move and are doing absolutely nothing to help me even though I’m begging for help.

I’ve done everything I can without pharmaceutical help to ease the pain and nothing is working I feel very let down.

Dear Unhappy visor,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very sorry to hear about the level of pain and distress you describe, and how upsetting it is to feel unsupported when you’re asking for help.

As Care Opinion is an anonymous platform, I am unable to look into the specifics of your care and admission. If you feel comfortable to do so, I encourage you to contact our Patient and Family Liaison Service on (08) 6152 4013 during business hours, or via email at FSHFeedback@health.wa.gov.au so your concerns can be reviewed and followed up appropriately by the service.

Thank you for providing your feedback and I hope we are able to assist you further.

Tim Leen
