About: St George Hospital / SGH Supportive Care Service

(as a relative),

The SGH Palliative Supportive Care Service has been outstanding in supplying support, information and assistance to my father who has advanced lung disease.

The knowledge, care & empathy they show my father is greatly appreciated. Any questions asked are responded to extremely quickly and if they don’t have an answer, they will find the answer & respond to you in an acceptable time frame.

Nothing is a problem for the SGH Palliative Supportive Care Service

Dear Bayjay60,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear that the Supportive Care Service team has been able to provide your father with patient-centred care. It is also wonderful to know that our staff’s knowledge and empathy have made a meaningful difference to your father’s experience.

Staff at St George strive to collaborate with our patients and their families to ensure they feel well supported and empowered to navigate their health journey. Acknowledgements such as yours remind us of the privilege we have in supporting our patients. I will ensure a copy of your acknowledgement is made available to senior management, the Supportive Care Service team, and their peers. We wish your father all the best.

Warm regards,

Lauren Sturgess

Acting General Manager
