"SCGH Comprehensive Cancer Centre Staff"

I just wanted to give a heartfelt shoutout the staff at the Charlie's Cancer Centre - especially Dr Mark, and nurses Jodie and Harriet. I had a day procedure recently and was extremely anxious beforehand. From the moment I stepped into the day ward, I was met with genuine compassion, kindness and warmth from everyone. Jodie went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and supported (and managed to get blood from my shy veins!), taking the time to reassure me and ease my nerves.

Harriet and Dr Mark were wonderful, showing such professionalism while still being incredibly caring and approachable. Dr Mark took the time to explain the procedure many times and even showed me the samples at the end! A huge thank you to Harriet, who stayed by the bedside and reassured me the entire procedure - I am very grateful and cannot thank you enough. Their calm and empathetic manner made what could have been a very stressful and scary experience so much more manageable.

I am truly grateful for the care I received and can't thank the team enough for the difference they made on the day :)
