"Lactation Experience"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

My experience at King Edward Hospital Breast Feeding Centre of WA was fantastic. The service allowed me to gain the confidence I needed to breast feed and the lactation midwives were all very informative, empathetic, and supportive. In particular, Meg and Emma-Louise helped me from the beginning and still support me with breastfeeding six months later. Meg and Emma- Louise are outstanding and very supportive lactation midwives. They always answer all of my questions and have supported me every step of the way. They are a true asset to the Hospital. I recall Emma-Louise even said to me that she treats her patients like family because that’s how she would like to be treated - such a humble and warm approach.

My one bit of constructive feedback is to have a clinic run at Joondalup ( North of the River) more regularly. It only runs on a Thursday currently and there is a huge demand for the service.
