"Incredible care in RPH ED"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My partner was brought into RPH ED overnight last night due to a large bleed post an ENT surgery. Amongst the adrenaline of it all, we have forgotten names, but all of the nurses we saw were absolutely incredible, escalating concerns to doctors asap and transferring him to a critical care bed in the department within minutes of arrival, prioritising pain relief and comfort for him and went out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible despite the traumatic situation itself. From a fellow ex ED nurse, I know it’s difficult working over holidays and being away from loved ones, your compassion and kindness was hugely appreciated and will never go unnoticed :)

Dear inspirerp74

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your partner’s presentation to the Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department. Your feedback about the nursing staff is sincerely appreciated. Your kind words were wonderful to hear, and your recognition of their compassion and responsiveness will mean a great deal to the team.

As a former Emergency Department nurse, you understand better than most how demanding emergency care can be especially over the holiday period, so your message really carries extra meaning. I will ensure your comments are shared with the Emergency Department staff.

Thank you again for your lovely feedback. I hope your partner is recovering well.

Kind regards,

Ben Noteboom
