"ruptured ectopic pregnancy"

About: Broome Health Campus

(as the patient),

I was RFDS to Broome for emergency ruptured ectopic pregnancy and tube removal. It was a really stressful time given the urgency, however, the minute I arrived in Broome ED I felt an immediate sense of safety and comfort. I had interactions with many nursing staff, doctors, gynaecologists, surgeons - all of whom were very compassionate and understanding, whilst ensuring I was informed of my options and what would happen before, during and after surgery. The team were all very supportive and responsive. I had to stay overnight on the ward and was monitored closely and cared for by the nurses. I had follow up visit in the afternoon after surgery by my gyne, check in again the following morning, and on morning of discharge which provided me sense of comfort and opportunity for any questions. A post op follow up in 6 weeks was scheduled before I was discharged, and my discharge summary was really clear. Honestly for such a stressful time, it is an absolute credit to all the staff for making me feel so well cared for. Based on my experience I would highly recommend - thank you so much ❤️
