"Breastfeeding WA Support"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Breastfeeding Centre of WA

(as a service user),

After the birth of my son I struggled with breastfeeding and was referred to Breastfeeding WA. Over several appointments, we looked at positioning and intake which both helped me to know that my son was gaining enough weight but also significantly reduced the pain for me. It took a while but I am so grateful for the support I received. I don't think I would still be breastfeeding without it. Such a great service and it's comforting to know that I can call or come back at any point should I need it.

Dear Lulu55,

Congratulations on the birth of your son and thank you for taking the time to share your gratitude for the care you received through the Breast Feeding Centre (BFC). It was lovely to read that through your appointments with the BFC you were able to develop confidence and reduce your pain. We are extremely proud of the informative support and compassionate care provided by the BFC team in supporting mothers to continue their breastfeeding journey.

I will be sure to pass on your kind feedback to the BFC team.

Kind regards,

Melinda
