I am appalled by the lack of care I received. I arrived at 7:30 PM after being referred by an after-hours emergency clinic following my gallbladder surgery. I was in excruciating chest and shoulder pain, wheezing and coughing a few times it got so violently I was gagging and even wet myself!
Despite being in visible distress for four hours not one staff member checked on me. I watched multiple people who arrived after me get taken through while I was left suffering. When I finally asked for an update at 11:30 PM, I felt the staff was rude and dismissive telling me they couldn’t say anything because the line was too long but was happy to help others that asked just before me and was polite as! I felt I had no choice but to leave.
Ironically a doctor called me at 11:55 PM while I was driving home. This level of what I believe to be neglect for a post-op patient is dangerous, in my opinion, and unacceptable. Based on my experience, I have had nothing but problems with this hospital
