This was my second 2 year trial at the hospital and this one was to test management of diabetic macular edema and involved receiving eye injections of the drug over the 2 year period. After the initial period I had to attend the hospital approximately every two months to check my eye condition and to receive another eye injection of the trial drug.
From when I first was asked to consider going on the trial, and right up to the very end of it, I received nothing but exceptional and professional treatment and care. I greatly appreciated this and would like to express my gratitude and thanks to Sharon and all her team who looked after me so well. They made me fell valued and in return I hope that in a very small way my involvement helps the research.
