(as a parent/guardian),

We would like to congratulate and thank all staff who considered the special needs of our son.

Our son finds hospital visits very stressful and as parents we find this a challenging event. Everyone we dealt with from the receptionists, nurses, anaesthetist and dentist crew, made many adjustments to lower the stress for our son. This included providing him with a quiet space before and after the procedure. Incoming staff were constantly reminded to lower their voices in the area. Lighting was dimmed and staff constantly checked in with us to monitor what was needed. Their interactions with our son was always considerate and kind. Thank you for making our challenging day easier.

I was so pleased to read how well your son’s special needs were accommodated for his dental care. You have perfectly summed up the fantastic teamwork that occurs from so many departments across the Geraldton Health Campus. It is that “can do” attitude that has ensured your son felt safe and relaxed, which I’m sure alleviates the stresses you were feeling.

Your kind words have already been shared with those involved and I will add my appreciation here of all their efforts taking care of your son.

If you need any arrangements made for future treatment your son requires across the campus, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me and I shall ensure every accommodation is made.
