"First time mum with MGP"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was referred to MGP for the birth of my daughter. As a first time mum I had no idea about what was involved in the antenatal, labour/ birth and postnatal care.

By having a primary midwife through the MGP I felt that each antenatal appointment ran seamlessly and the rapport that was built allowed me to go into labour / birth with confidence. During my labour and birth it was great to have one midwife present who was on the same page as me. I felt confident in their knowlege and care.

Additionally following the birth of my daughter it was great to have a midwife I was familiar help our transition home.

Dear piscesst56,

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and thank you for taking the time to share your pregnancy and birth experience with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP).

Your experience highlights the benefits that continuity of care throughout the pregnancy and post-partum journey can bring. Our MGP team provide an amazing service, and I was so pleased to read that the knowledge and care you received gave you the confidence you needed heading into labour and with your transition home.

It will give me great pleasure to pass on your kind feedback to the MGP team. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Kind regards,

Melinda
