"Wonderful Care at Margaret River Hospital Emergency"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

After waking in the middle of the night with intense unexplained pain in my shoulder,  I presented at the Emergency department after none of the medication available to me at home was able to control the pain. The Staff being Netty and Dave were so understanding and compassionate and we able to assess my condition in a kind and caring way even though it was 3.30am.  After relieving my pain arrangements were made for an ultrasound and Xray when these departments opened at 8am.

Both staff members in the imaging departments were caring and respectful of my pain whilst trying to obtain the images required and their assistance was invaluable in preventing me from fainting with pain.

It was lovely to hear laughter and joy from the X-ray department and to have Brendan back up after back up after the other staff member who was relieving during his absence.

So lucky to have such beautiful care and support in the early hours of the morning and the following day from such dedicated, compassionate, professionals.

Dear One Bung Shoulder,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion.

I’m sorry to hear about the pain you went through, but I’m so pleased that our team was able to support you during what must have been a very difficult time.

Your kind words about Netty and Dave in the Emergency Department, as well as the imaging staff, will mean a great deal to them and will ensure that this is shared with them.

Compassionate, respectful care, especially in the early hours of the morning, is something our staff strive for, and it’s wonderful to hear that you felt supported and well cared for throughout your visit.

We will be sure to pass your feedback on to everyone involved, including Brendan and the imaging team. Hearing that their teamwork, kindness, and even shared moments of laughter made a difference truly highlights the dedication of our staff.

Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback.

We wish you a smooth recovery and all the very best.

Kind regards,

Sandy Znidarsich
