"Birth in Karratha"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Maternity Unit

(as the patient),

I recently gave birth to my second child here in Karratha at Karratha Health Campus. Throughout my pregnancy journey I was supported by the Pathology Services at Karratha Health Campus, the Radiology Clinic and the MGP program.

I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of care I received. Every appointment was handled so professionally, with so much care and support. My midwives Sheree & Lea as well as the whole team of midwives were above & beyond amazing. I had heard all throughout my pregnancy how incredible the midwives and the care was at Karratha Health Campus.

My experience was incredible. Sheree, Lea, the midwives and medical team were so caring, supportive and attentive. After an incredibly traumatic first birth experience in another State & City, I couldn't have asked for a more healing experience the second time around and it is truly thanks to the midwives & medical team at Karratha Health Campus. I hope this hospital continues to invest in their teams because these professionals have had such a huge impact on the community. It is commonly known that Karratha Health Campus offers incredible service especially the maternity ward! It cannot be understated how much of an impact this has on women during the perinatal journey and post partum as well as our children. I couldn't fault this team one bit and I am so so thankful.

Dear cricketepp85,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience following the birth of your second child at Karratha Health Campus.

It is wonderful to hear how supported you felt throughout your pregnancy and birth journey by our Pathology, Radiology and Midwifery Group Practice teams. Your kind words about Sheree, Lea and the broader midwifery and medical team will mean a great deal to them. Providing safe, compassionate and respectful care, particularly when someone has previously experienced a traumatic birth is incredibly important, and it is reassuring to know your experience was healing and positive.

We are very proud of the maternity service and the impact the team has on women, babies and families across the community. Feedback like yours is valued and will be shared with the teams involved so they can see the difference their care makes.

Thank you again for sharing your story and congratulations to you and your family.

Warm Regards,

Nhuan Ho

District Director, West Pilbara
