About: Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

Recently , my partner was short of breath , around lunchtime we attended Ed at armadale hospital. 

With a long medical history, they took my partner straight thru to a medical bay.

After swabs and blood tests, my partner has Rhino virus , after a some time in Ed, my partner was moved to MAU ward. 

After some observations and treatment, my partner still was short of breath and tight in the chest.

The doctor came round 2 days after admission in the morning and advised my partner they were able to go home , if it got any worse , my partner was to come back to Ed . 

Failed discharge, in my opinion, from MAU , and my partner's concerns were not listened to before discharge . 

The following day at 5pm I brought my partner back to Ed.

I acknowledge your concerns regarding your partner’s presentation to the Emergency Department, subsequent admission, discharge, and return to hospital. I understand how worrying it can be when symptoms persist following discharge, particularly for someone with a long medical history, and when advice is provided to return if the condition worsens.
