"Pregnancy and birth of my daughter"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

The MGP model leading up to my birth was fantastic. I was given ample time with my midwife who answered or directed me towards information which was key in this whole journey.

I felt support, kindness, laughs, reality and empathy the whole time, including during my labour which my midwife unfortunately was not present for, but her buddy was.

The postnatal care was also fantastic, allowing me to feel very safe and supported. There was never a question too rogue!

All I wanted from my birth was to have a positive experience, which I did. Very lucky.

Dear violetws68,

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and thank you for taking the time to pass on your gratitude for the care you received with the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP).

I was so pleased that the continuity of care provided by the MGP team helped you feel safe and supported throughout your pregnancy and they were even able to bring laughs to your care. I was sorry to hear your primary midwife was not able to be present during labour, but it was great to read that her buddy midwife was, and that you were still able to have such a positive birth experience.

It will give me great pleasure to pass on your kind words to the MGP team.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Kind regards,

Melinda
