"Country Care at Its Best: Thank You Merredin Hospital"

About: Merredin Health Service / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I wanted to share our recent positive experience after my son fractured his arm. We attended the hospital on a Saturday afternoon and, following the initial assessment, he was sent for an X-ray. The doctor took the time to show us the images and clearly explain the type of fracture, which really helped put us at ease.

With the support of the nurse, a backslab was carefully applied, and everything was explained step by step, including that a referral would be sent to the fracture clinic. We returned for follow-up on Tuesday, where he was fitted for a wrist brace. The nurse practitioner was fantastic—once again walking us through the X-rays and discussing our options in a way that was easy to understand.

My son is much more comfortable and happier in his brace now. Living in the country can come with its challenges, but we truly value the level of care, professionalism, and kindness we consistently receive from our local Merredin hospital. We’re very grateful.
