"Continence Clinic"

About: Albany Health Campus / Ambulatory Care 3

(as a service user),

We have been under the care of the Continence Clinic since last October. The nurse has been kind and professional in delivering the care needed while we wait for a surgery date. We have needed to go to the emergency department as the clinic was closed on Monday.  The ED is busy and not specialised in continence care. It seems to us that our community would be better served by extending the clinic to a 5 day week. Another suggestion would be to increase GP Urgent care hours to cover Monday and have a nurse trained by the continence clinic on shift for that day.

Dear sagittariusjt69,

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind feedback about our Continence Clinic nurse—we will pass this on to the team.

We acknowledge your concerns about accessing appropriate care when the clinic is closed, and understand the challenges of attending the Emergency Department for specialised continence support.

Your suggestions to expand clinic availability or provide trained continence support through GP Urgent Care have been noted and will be shared with service managers for consideration.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide this valuable feedback.

Kind regards,
