"KEMH deserves a gold medal for patient care"

I recently was fortunate enough to be in the care of the sexual health clinic at King Eddie’s after living with chronic poor health for almost five years. I have seen countless health professionals over this time, all of whom have left me feeling invalidated, disappointed and completely hopeless - often receiving a closing statement along the lines of “I’m not sure what to do, good luck” before discharging me with no empathy or direction.

The King Eddie’s team have, by far, being the kindest and most caring health professionals I have ever come across. Every single person who I interacted with was absolutely amazing. My doctors gave me space to share my experience, showed empathy and genuine determination to deliver me the best care possible and constantly reassured me that together we would find a solution.

Doctors Molly, Ayesha and Jenny - I cannot thank you enough for your exceptional healthcare and kindness. You have given me my quality of life back, as well as my faith in the health system. You have given me more than I can put into words. I am so lucky to have been under your care.
