"RPA ICU"

About: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

(as the patient),

I was admitted to RPA ICU on Friday the 1st of May, following a stent /coils being placed in my head. I honestly can not provide better feedback about the nursing staff... They were exceptional. I work at a public hospital myself and they still far exceeded my expectations. The nurse who first looked after me (I think maybe her name was Brooke? Sorry if I've gotten it confused) was the most caring, amazing person - I can't thank her enough for the care she gave me, especially after I over did it trying to get out of bed and knocked my puncture site! She didn't make me feel like anything was too much trouble and kept me informed about everything that was happening from the second I got wheeled into the unit. I also want to shout out Alex who looked after me overnight when I was having a really tough time - but he was so kind and really did help make me feel OK about feeling very much not OK. There were so many other nurses who helped care for me over the 2 days and I can not express how appreciative I am of all of them. It feels like a really fantastic team environment and I felt like I was receiving exceptional care.
