"Doctor asking me what I need then seeimgly ignoring me"

About: CAMHS Midwest

(as the patient),

I have been homeless and in a mental health crisis in Geraldton since December. I have been to see Midwest Mental Health 3 times.

On 3 separate occasions I have been asked by the doctors what I want them to do. Sometimes I cant answer this clearly other than to say I dont know how to recover and that I need help with this. 

I keep getting phone calls from a Doctor here. I asked to see a social worker, I asked to see an OT I asked that since they were calling me could I send them some journal entries I had made to get some feedback and help. They said to send them to my psychologist and said no. My psychologist has said that I cant stabalise under my current short term emergency placements. This report has been provided to the Doctors here. They said they are calling me because they are worried about me but when I make suggestions or requests they say no. I dont understand why this is happening to me. Or why I am seemingly being punished. I believe that I will get in trouble for writing this but I dont know what else to do

I was very concerned to know we have not yet managed to identify an appropriate treatment plan for you and for that I offer my sincere apologies. We are committed to providing supportive and sensitive care to the vulnerable members of our community I regret this has not been your experience.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides recovery-focused mental health programs to infants, children and young people up to the age of 17. CAMHS offers support for young people and their families who present with difficulties that suggest the presence of serious mental disorder or who may be considered at high risk. The service supports with mental health assessments, planning care, treatment and coordinating cases, as well as providing consultation and advice to community-based agencies working with youth.
