"Women Health - Ablation & Birth Damage Repair"

About: Karratha Health Campus / Outpatients & Day Treatment

(as the patient),

After having 26 years of too much bleeding and painful periods, and seen lots and lots of specialists and doctors. I finally got someone that looked after me and listened to me.

Dr. Rajeev is an amazing doctor, and I wish all women with issues could see a doctor like this.

He also did some birth damages repair after my last baby 4 years ago that had been quite an issue for me. All this was done in a very professional way, and the personal care both before and afterwards has been more than any other places and doctors I have seen about this.

I had my surgery 11 weeks ago, and so far so good. I haven’t had any bleedings when I am supposed to have my period. I still get small cramps and still feel hormonal, but for me that didn’t want to remove anything, this has literally changed my life and how I plan my life. If this continues, I don’t need to prepare a week before with horrible pain and then a week of bleeding through everything and be in so much pain that I can’t function properly. This has helped me tremendously.

Beautifully cared for and I can’t fault it.

My only tiny thing was that I had a young medical student that was going to be there watching the surgery, and they had a talk with me beforehand, and seemed quite uncomfortable to talk about this subject and it became a bit awkward. Something that isn’t the best thing right before a surgery. I feel they meant well and very polite and nice, but I was a bit nervous for the anaesthetic, so seeing them so uncomfortable was a little stressful.

Otherwise, Dr. Rajeev is a specialist I would recommend to anyone having issues.

Thank you so much to him and the whole team for making this a good experience and for me to feel heard properly for the first time.

Dear Winter7,

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback regarding your care at Karratha Health Campus.

It is very encouraging to hear that you felt listened to, supported and well cared for throughout your treatment journey. I appreciate you acknowledging the professionalism and ongoing care provided by Dr Rajeev and the wider team, and pleased to hear the procedure has had such a positive impact on your quality of life and wellbeing.

I also appreciate your balanced feedback regarding your interaction prior to surgery with the medical student. Supporting future clinicians through supervised learning opportunities is an important part of regional health services, however I acknowledge your comments regarding how this interaction made you feel prior to your procedure. This feedback will be useful in supporting staff and students to continue developing confidence and communication skills in sensitive clinical settings.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback. I will ensure your comments are shared with the team.

Warm regards,

Nhuan Ho
