We engaged with a lactation consultant (Meg) through the Breast Feeding Centre due to our concerns with baby coughing/spluttering/choking and vomiting while breast feeding. And also just my own general anxiety around being a new parent and stressing that things weren’t okay. While the issue at hand didn’t happen while we were there, we were given some fabulous guidance and support to make some actionable changes. I felt very heard and reassured - previously I had been using a variety of online/phone resources to try and help me but there was a lot of mixed information. It very much helped to speak with someone knowledgeable about our specific situation.
The issue does still happen when feeding (not at every feed - but often once a day) however, we know a bit more about what is happening and things we can try. We also know that we can contact again if concerned for guidance at any time.
