"Child with croup ED presentation"

About: Geraldton Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

I had to bring my child into ED during the night due to an episode of croup/difficulties breathing. Although it was a very scary experience for my child. It was made positive by the care we received.

Doctor Angela and the nurse who looked after us were incredibly caring, supportive, and compassionate throughout our time there. They made sure we were both comfortable, reassured, and kept well informed about what was happening and the treatment being provided.

I’m very grateful for the kindness and professionalism they showed. Thank you.

Dear giraffeyz94

Thank you for sharing the great experience you and your child had with the team at the Geraldton ED. I remember when my child had croup and it is a horrible time for them.

I’m sure the high quality and compassionate care provided by Doctor Angela and the nurse allowed both your child and yourself to feel assured you were in safe hands. We are always striving to give our community a health service they can be proud of and I very glad this on this occasion that was so wonderfully provided by Doctor Angela and the nurse involved. I will ensure that Doctor Angela and the ED Nursing team receive your feedback and know how much their efforts were appreciated.

I hope you child is feeling better.

Regards

Cameron Ross
