"My father's life"

About: Sutherland Hospital / TSH Inpatient Palliative Care (The Sutherland Hospital)

(as a carer),

I would like to thank the Palliative Care Team and the Killara ward nurses and staff at Sutherland Hospital for the care and support they have provided to my father and our family.

The team have been professional, compassionate, and approachable throughout what has been a challenging time. They have  taken the time to answer our questions, explain things clearly, and ensure we have understood the options available.

What stood out most has been the kindness shown by all members of the team. They have treated both my father and family with dignity and respect, while focusing on comfort and quality of life.

We are grateful for the care that has been provided and the difference it has made to our experience. Thank you to the entire team for your kindness and compassion.

Providing care that prioritises dignity, comfort, and quality of life, while also supporting families with clear communication and kindness, is something our teams strive for every day..
