"Outstanding care and compassion during my son's Sydney Hospital stay (Macquarie Street)"

I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in the care of my son during his recent stay in hospital for an infected finger that required surgery.

From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was exceptional. The triage team (Jarrod), doctors, surgeons, nurses, orderlies and support staff all treated us with kindness, professionalism and genuine care. No matter how busy the hospital was, someone was always available to answer questions, provide reassurance and make sure my son was comfortable.

For a young teenager, the experience of being admitted to hospital and undergoing surgery was understandably frightening and traumatic. The compassion shown by the team made an enormous difference. Every interaction helped put him at ease and gave us confidence that he was receiving the very best care possible.

The skill and dedication of the surgical team who operated on him, along with the nurses who cared for him day and night afterwards, were outstanding. We felt supported every step of the way.

Experiences like this remind us how fortunate we are to have such an incredible public health system and such dedicated healthcare professionals in Australia. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in my son's care. We are deeply grateful for everything they did for him and for our family.
