"ED visit"

About: Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

On the early hours of the morning of 8/6/26, I attended ED at Armadale hospital with my Mum who had sustained a head wound from a fall. I want to commend an RN called Lisa, who was working ED at that time. She was compassionate & showed empathy, not just with my Mum & myself, but also with others from what I saw. She made people feel listened seen. I hope the upper management notice what a difference she makes to vulnerable patients who just need to know they matter.  Thank you Lisa

Dear Amju456,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your Mum’s visit to our Emergency Department. I’m very pleased to hear that Lisa provided such compassionate and attentive care during what must have been a worrying time for you both.

It is especially lovely to hear that you also saw her offering the same level of kindness and support to others in the department. Those small moments of connection can make a real difference for people who are feeling vulnerable, and your feedback reflects the values we strive to uphold.

I will make sure your message is shared with Lisa and acknowledged within the ED team.

Thank you again for sharing your story. I hope your mum is recovering well.

Kind regards

Sarah-Louise Laing
