At the time, I felt dreadful. I was throwing up blood for five days. I spent most of that in the hospital.
The staff were incredible! I needed personal care and they were cool about that. Prompt as well. The staff were incredibly understanding about my mental health issue, including a nurse I snapped at (after 3 days no psych meds; I didn't mention it and I'm not on My Health Record). She turned out to be really sweet, and I really need to reiterate how sweet she was and that it was purely my mental health that gave me the wrong impression.
Reigan on level 6 is one of the coolest people that I have ever met. They stopped me hysterically crying within 3 minutes. They seemed to know exactly what to say and do; for example, offering to open my door so I didn't get scared. I agreed and they left the door open and it worked. I didn't lose it again, until I hadn't seen Reigan for quite some time. I am thinking they would make a Nobel prize winning mental health worker, or mental health nurse.
I have a history of medical abuse and noticed that only women were treating me. Thank you to whoever organised that.
The only thing I would say needs improvement is funding for more ambulances. My partner had to drive me in in the end.
The wards-men were really kind and the second one was hilarious! There was a beautiful volunteer in fast-track with a South-East Asian appearance and a bald guy, who were absolutely beautiful people. The lady was very concerned and really wanted to help me.
And a special shout out to the cleaners. When feeling nausious, it's the best thing to be able to use a clean bathroom and be in a lovely bed. They have a tough, physical job as well.
Thanks Guys.
